I am wondering what others are considering for the weaker grade 9 math students moving into grade 10. As we prepare course selection booklets we want students to select the appropriate math course as well as have our math teachers recommend the appropriate course.
Is anyone considering a minimal essential type course for either AWP 10 or FPC 10?
This is a hot topic at our school right now. Our Math Department collaborative meeting tomorrow, much of this will be discussed.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a shame that we might have to come up with these sorts of "essentials" courses, but yet it seens to be a necessary evil. I am guessing that we may try going without such a course, but the need will dictate otherwise.
